We have set up Metropolitan Social Housing - a 'not for profit' entity - as a response to the failing housing market existing particularly in London. Our many years experience in the residential housing sector has given us insight into more effective and efficient ways of designing and delivering good quality housing - at cost. Our goal is to disrupt the current ineffective housing delivery model to create and deliver housing of high quality in terms of both design and specification that can work within the average post tax income for key workers and those currently locked out of the property ladder.  The current generation of Londoners who are either key workers or on low income see no possibility of gaining ownership of secure accommodation in the current system. Key workers - and those who have a government regulated or market led low income also deserve to be able to pay a manageable percentage of their post tax income in return for regulated pay.
